Workshop Tip & Usage

Before replacing the 4GVMP battery, turn off the computer, unplug the mains charger, and strictly disconnect the old battery before handling any other component. Pay attention to the storage configuration: the 68 Wh version (4 cells) occupies an extended space inside the chassis. On 15-inch models (Latitude 5500/5510 and Precision 3540/3550), this battery requires the use of an M.2 SSD storage and makes the simultaneous installation of a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive impossible. During first use, perform an initial calibration cycle: charge the component to 100%, then let the battery discharge gradually down to 10-15% before performing a full uninterrupted recharge.
