Workshop Advice & Usage

Before replacing this battery, scrupulously check the generation of the client's ProBook: the CI03XL model is exclusively designed for the ProBook 600 G2 and G3 series. It does not fit the first-generation G1 (which uses external removable CA06 type batteries) nor subsequent G4+ generations. For installation, turn off the computer, disconnect the mains power supply, and remove the lower cover. Handle the battery ribbon connector with a plastic spatula (spudger) without pulling on the wires. During initial setup in the workshop, perform a complete calibration cycle: charge the refurbished battery to 100% using mains power, then let the device discharge gradually down to about 10-15% before performing an uninterrupted recharge.
