This configuration provides a perfectly regulated electrical power supply to the motherboard components and supports up to 500 complete charge and discharge cycles. The whole is controlled by an intelligent electronic management circuit (BMS - Battery Management System) responsible for the continuous control of the charging current. This controller protects the component and the computer against overvoltages, deep discharges, short circuits as well as risks of thermal runaway during intensive use.

The ultra-flat external casing is moulded in a heat-resistant high-density insulating polymer, rigorously adapted to the internal footprint of the 12.5-inch HP chassis. Integration takes place directly under the lower shell of the ultrabook and interfaces with the motherboard by means of a flat secure ribbon connector. The location of the metal fixing tabs faithfully respects the original assembly points to guarantee a rigid fixing without exerting mechanical constraints under the palm rest or keyboard.

Workshop Tip & Usage

Before installing this battery, scrupulously check the exact generation of the client HP EliteBook 820: the SN03XL reference is exclusively reserved for the G3 generation. It is incompatible with the EliteBook 820 G1 and G2 versions (which use the removable SB03XL battery). For dismantling, turn off the device, unplug the mains power supply and remove the bottom cover. Disconnect the interconnection ribbon of the old battery using a plastic spatula (spudger) without pulling on the wires so as not to damage the motherboard socket. During initial workshop commissioning, the Workshop advises carrying out a complete calibration cycle: charge the refurbished battery to 100% under mains voltage, then let the device discharge gradually to around 10-15% before performing a complete uninterrupted recharge.
