This configuration provides a perfectly regulated electrical power supply to the motherboard and supports up to 500 complete charge and discharge cycles. The whole unit is controlled by an intelligent electronic management circuit (BMS - Battery Management System) responsible for the continuous control of the charging current. This controller protects the component and the computer against overvoltages, deep discharges, short circuits as well as the risks of thermal runaway during intensive use.

The ultra-flat external casing is moulded in a heat-resistant high-density insulating polymer, rigorously adapted to the internal footprint of the Dell Vostro and Inspiron chassis. Integration is carried out directly under the bottom shell of the laptop and interfaces with the motherboard by means of a secure flat ribbon connector. Workshop Advice & Usage

Before installing this battery on 15-inch chassis (Inspiron 5590 or Vostro 5590), check for the presence of a secondary 2.5-inch SATA hard drive: the YRDD6 reference (3 cells / 42 Wh) is the essential compact model to leave free space for the 2.5 inch receptacle. On models equipped only with an M.2 SSD, Dell sometimes mounts the 4-cell version (H5CKD). For the intervention, turn off the device, unplug the mains charger and remove the bottom shell. Disconnect the interconnection cable of the old battery using a plastic spatula (spudger) without pulling on the wires so as not to damage the motherboard socket. During initial workshop commissioning, the Workshop advises performing a full calibration cycle: charge the refurbished battery to 100% under mains voltage, then let the device discharge gradually to around 10-15% before carrying out an uninterrupted recharge.
