Devia Storm Series USB-C to 4K UHD HDMI Cable (Black)

Description

The USB-C to HDMI cable from the Storm Series developed by DEVIA is a high-performance video connection accessory designed for retailers and workshops looking to offer a reliable projection solution to their professional or private clients. This cable enables the direct, lag-free transmission of high-definition digital audio and video signals from a source equipped with a USB-C connector (laptop, tablet, smartphone) to an external monitor, UHD TV, or video projector featuring an HDMI input. It is particularly aimed at users looking for a Plug & Play solution for office tasks, entertainment, or business presentations.

In terms of electronic architecture, the cable integrates a signal conversion chip supporting the DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) protocol. This technology directly converts the native data stream from the source device's graphics controller into a TMDS/HDMI signal, without requiring an external power supply or the installation of third-party drivers or applications. The transmission supports resolutions up to 4K UHD at 30 Hz (3840 x 2160 px), ensuring optimal image clarity, strict colorimetric fidelity, and multichannel synchronization of digital audio streams. The internal multi-layer shielding protects the signal against environmental electromagnetic (EMI) and radio frequency interference.

The external structure is designed for maximum durability in intensive use. The cable is covered with a high-density braided nylon textile sheath offering excellent resistance to abrasion, pinching, and knots. The connectors feature an anodized aluminum alloy shield that promotes thermal dissipation of the conversion chip and prevents overheating during prolonged projection sessions. In addition, the plugs are provided with an anti-oxidation plating to maintain perfect electrical conductivity over repeated insertions.

Workshop Advice & Usage

To prevent any unjustified after-sales service returns or customer dissatisfaction, systematically inform your buyers that this cable strictly requires a USB-C port supporting hardware video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt). Some entry-level smartphones or tablets feature a USB-C port wired solely for charging and USB 2.0/3.0 data transfer without native video transmission, which will make display impossible. For users of compatible high-end Samsung smartphones, this cable is ideal for immediately deploying the Samsung DeX desktop interface on a secondary screen.
