Pokémon Abyss Eye M5 Display (Japanese Version) - 30 Booster Packs
What is a Pokémon display?
A display (also known as a booster box) is the official box in which the publisher packages Pokémon booster packs. This is the format sold to shops: a factory-sealed cardboard box containing several identical booster packs from the same expansion.
A booster pack is a small, sealed packet containing randomly assorted trading cards. Customers opening one do not know in advance which cards they will find inside: that is the main appeal of the product. Each booster contains common cards and, with a bit of luck, highly sought-after rare cards (foil cards, special illustrations, secret rares).
This Japanese display contains 30 booster packs with 5 cards each, making a total of 150 cards. It can be sold as-is (complete sealed box) or used to sell individual booster packs at the counter or in a display case.
The Abyss Eye (M5) Expansion
Abyss Eye is the fifth expansion in the Pokémon MEGA series, released in Japan on 22 May 2026. It is the darkest and most atmospheric set in the series: nightmares awaken with Mega Darkrai ex, the iconic antagonist from the Mega Dimension DLC of the video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A. It is accompanied by Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex within a shadowy universe with a very distinct visual identity. The special illustration cards in this set, particularly the Mega Darkrai one, are among the most chased in the MEGA series.
Why a Japanese version?
The cards in this display are entirely in Japanese. Far from being a hindrance, this is a selling point: Japanese editions are released several months before the French versions, boast a superior print quality and are particularly prized by collectors. Many buyers specifically look for Japanese cards for their collection, regardless of the language.
Understanding pricing
Japanese booster packs contain 5 cards (compared to 10 for French booster packs), which explains a lower unit price than French boosters. Furthermore, the price varies from one expansion to another depending on its popularity. Please note: Abyss Eye is the first expansion to apply the Japanese publisher's new pricing structure, so its base price is slightly higher than previous MEGA sets. Since Darkrai is one of the most popular Pokémon among collectors, demand for this set is particularly high. This type of product generally increases in value over time once production ceases.

Advantages
The Pokémon display is a fast-turning product that requires no technical knowledge: it sells sealed or pack by pack, with no after-sales service or demonstrations needed. The Pokémon licence is the best-selling trading card game in the world and attracts a very broad customer base, from children to adult collectors. Individual booster packs make an excellent counter impulse buy, making it easy to increase basket value. Finally, with its unique shadowy visual identity within the MEGA series and a cult-status featured Pokémon, Abyss Eye appeals just as much to pack openers as to sealed product collectors, which heavily limits the risk of unsold stock.
