MaAnt Knife-Type Micro-Soldering Tip for C210 / C215 Handles
Description
The MaAnt knife-shape (K) micro-soldering tip is an industrial-grade active heating cartridge, essential for technicians specialising in smartphone motherboard repair (micro-bumping, BGA reballing, SMT micro-soldering). Its unique bevelled profile offers rare technical versatility: the flat surface of the knife allows for rapid and uniform cleaning of pin alignments and component pin beds, while its sharp tip ensures micrometric work on 01005-size components without affecting surrounding elements.
Mechanically and thermally, this model incorporates active cartridge technology where the heating element and control thermocouple are sealed directly into the tip. This architecture allows for ultra-direct energy transfer without any loss, ensuring temperature stabilisation in under 2 seconds and excellent thermal recovery when soldering on heat-dissipating ground planes. Designed to fit perfectly on C210 and C215 type handles, this tip ensures excellent electrical conductivity and precise feedback to your soldering station's microprocessor.
The durability of this tip relies on advanced multi-layer manufacturing. The core of the cartridge is machined from pure copper to maximise the conductivity coefficient, then successively coated with an iron plating, an anti-corrosion nickel barrier, and an external chrome coating that prevents solder from migrating beyond the working area. This high-end design prevents premature wear due to chemical erosion related to acidic solder fluxes.

Workshop Tip & Usage
To preserve the integrity of the electroplating layer of your MaAnt C210-K tip and avoid its premature destruction, do not unnecessarily exceed working temperatures of 380 degrees C to 400 degrees C. Excessive heat accelerates the oxidation of the protective iron. When cleaning the tip, avoid using traditional damp sponges which create a destructive thermal shock for the internal resistance, and exclusively use fine brass wool. Finally, systematically apply a drop of clean solder to the knife bevel before placing the iron back on its stand to insulate it from atmospheric oxygen during standby phases or when turning off the station.
